Zander woke up with a rash all over his chest and abdomen. He is currently on an antibiotic for an infection to one of his fingers. He has been taking Bactrim since Friday, so I really don't think it is an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. Being a nurse, I try to diagnose it. I have a couple of ideas of what it may be. My aunt from Florida, Auntie Trish, is also a nurse, and she is in town visiting. She is staying at my mom's house, so I brought Zander to my mom's house this morning to have her look at the rash. She has a few possible diagnoses as well. My nieces and nephew are also visiting and staying with my parents. So Zander and I headed back home so we would not expose them to whatever Zander may have. The doctor's office is not open until 11 a.m., and I hope they can squeeze Zander in today. My poor baby. He is sleeping now. I hope he gets better soon, and I hope it is not what I think it is.
Update: It was not what I thought it was, and I am so thankful for that. Zander just has Roseola, and he is out of the contagious stage. Here are some pictures of Zander in the doctor's office while we waited for the doctor. Zander was getting into everything, but he had fun exploring the doctor's office. Some of the pictures are blurry because I used my small camera.
So tomorrow we get to go out again. Yeah. Tonight we went and watched my dad and little sister's softball game. It is nice to not be stuck in the house. Zander had fun at the park before the game.
Tyler was watching some of the game from my mom's sun roof.
Tyler, my nephew, who is 6 years old, and Zander, playing with Grandma's phone
My niece, Julia, who is 7 years old
We watched a beautiful sunset right after the game.
